The TSU Multiplexer FXS option modules provides four 2-wire interfaces that can operate in the PLAR, Tandem (MEGACOM), or FXS mode. The available modules provide 2- and 4-port voice interfaces that supply line current to station equipment. Two types of FXS modules are currently available. The original FXS modules support message waiting and higher ringing voltages. The new, second generation FXS modules are used for most traditional FXS applications. This option card is fully configurable via the front panel menus on a TSU Multiplexer or remotely via a PC.
